Student Card (UCM TUI)
It is a card based on the technology known as "chip card" or "virtual smart card". It allows access to library services (loans) and other services will gradually be added, such as access to sports facilities, car parks and other UCM services. This card has a digital version, which is the one currently in force.
How do I get it?
All UCM students, including those from Affiliated Centres, Erasmus students and visitors, can obtain their TUI-UCM.
The TUI is completely digital and is not delivered in physical format.
You only need a photo that will be taken at one of the issuing points. You can consult HERE the available issuing points
To go to an issuing point you must request an appointment beforehand. Click HERE to access the appointment request form. (For Faculty of Social Work you have to choose: Facultad Económicas - puesto 2 SOLO Mañanas)
IMPORTANT: Students must wait 24 hours after enrolment before requesting an appointment to go to the issuing point.
Necessary documentation
To obtain the TUI-UCM go with your DNI, NIE or Passport to the issuing point, where they will check that your details are correct and take a photograph.
Once the process has been completed, the virtual TUI will be immediately available on the UCM CARD website.
If you want to download it on the UCM APP (available for Android and Iphone in the links below) you will have to wait 24 hours.
Once the broadcasting campaign is over, you will be able to do it online from the digital photo frame, which is temporarily under maintenance.
ATTENTION: THE UCM PHOTO FRAME WILL NOT BE OPERATIVE DUE TO MAINTENANCE REASONS
FROM 8/09/2023 UNTIL THE END OF THE ISSUING CAMPAIGN.
YOU CAN REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT AND GO TO THE ISSUING POINTS DURING THE CAMPAIGN PERIOD.
Problems with the UCM Student Card?
When the student card fails:
- You must open an Incidence
- You can also contact the Electronic Information Coordination Unit (UCIE)
In case of loss, theft or misplacement of your UCM student card:
- You must report it to your library to avoid misuse.
- Erasmus students must contact the International Relations Office, in the Student Building.

The holder of the TUI UCM will be responsible for any improper transactions carried out until the notification of the TUI UCM loss.
You will be able to use some library loan services by other legal means of identification, until the new document is issued.
