Free Spanish Course at UCM - Exchange Students

Complutense University of Madrid offers a free Spanish language course to students who apply and whose level is below C1. Students with a C1 or C2 level cannot take this free course. However, other courses are available at a special rate for Erasmus students.

The free course is managed by the "Centro Complutense para la Enseñanza del Español" (CCEE) and is not part of the official curriculum of the Faculty of Social Work. Therefore, it cannot be included in the Learning Agreement. For further information, please contact: erasmusfgucm@ucm.es

Procedure:

Students must apply for the Spanish language course by selecting the corresponding box on the UCM application form.
Students who apply for the course, must take a compulsory placement test. It is held at UCM aproximately during the first week of September for first semester and full-year students, and during the first week of February for second-semester students. The exact date and location will be sent to each student by email. Students should consider these dates when arranging their accomodation.
The intensive language course takes place throughout September for first-semester and full-year students. It begins before the start of the semester and is available to students at levels up to and including B2.
The course does not award ECTS credits. To receive a certificate, students must attend at least 80% of the classes. The certificate will be sent by email after completion of the course.
