801877 KEY MEDICAL CONCEPTS OF DISABILITY - 6 ECTS

Disability is a preferential issue in health, due to the individual and social impact of personal situations (almost four million people). Social work on disabilities has clear objectives, such as promoting the well-being of people, improving their quality of life, inserting, and removing barriers, detecting situations of violation of rights, promoting solidarity behaviors and social awareness and facilitate participation in all social spheres.  <More Info>

 


801884 LAW FAMILY AND LAW OF THE MINOR - 6 ECTS

Family Law includes the analysis of three main divisions: the treatment of marriage, which addresses requirements and formalities, the relaxation and dissolution of the marital bond, and the personal and patrimonial relationship between the spouses; the treatment of parentage, which includes its various classes and the parent-child relationship; and analysis of the institutions for the protection of minors and the disabled. It also includes the study of permanent extramarital unions. <More Info>


801890 PSYCHOLOGY AND MENTAL HEALTH - 6 ECTS

Psychology and Mental Health (code 801890) is an elective subject that complements other psychology subjects such as Basic Psychology (801855), Foundations of Human Interaction (801861), Behavior in its Contexts (801872), Behavior in Group Contexts (801891) and Psychological Prevention of Mild and Moderate Cognitive Decline (801902).  <More Info>

 


 

801892 DEONTOLOGY AND ETHICS IN SOCIAL WORK - 6 ECTS

Deontology and Ethics in Social Work has the general objective of developing recognition of professional responsibilities, evaluation of dilemmas encountered in professional practice and the production of criteria for appropriate decision-making. In order to do so, this subject will provide the necessary theoretical tools to illuminate the problems that social workers must face in practice, as well as showing how to apply them, in order to properly understand and implement professional ethics.  <More Info>


801904 SOCIAL INTERVENTION: AN INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE - 6 ECTS

This subject aims to regularly and accessibly integrate internationalization into the curriculum. From the perspective of a world affected by globalization processes and within the framework of the construction of the European Union, this course is of general use for all social work students, offering an international view of the matters covered in the curriculum.  <More Info>
